Jack and Orpha started Ward’s Greenhouse in 1962. With 5 children in tow, they built the greenhouses from the ground up. Jack worked as a logger in the early morning hours, came home and continued building their dream of being greenhouse owners. With the help of their children they hand dug trenches for the hot water pipes. In the early years of Ward’s Greenhouse, Orpha would peddle Carnations out of the back of her car in Boise. With a lot of hard work and perseverance their dream became a reality. Their legacy continues through two of their sons, David and Greg, as they continue providing beautiful plants for their customers.
